The Minimates M.A.X. (Mobile Action Xtreme) brand features an assortment of vehicles and figures designed entirely by Art Asylum. Toys R Us has an exclusive black translucent version of the Stealth Jet I’ve previously reviewed.

Packaging

Packaging is the same as previous Stealth Jet sets released with the large blister card. The figure and jet are easy to see and held in place by the usual plastic tray with twist ties. The large MAX logo is on the top with the control art of both the figure and jet at the forefront of the plastic tray. The back of the packaging does a good job of showing the multiple configurations especially with multiple sets and a little write up of what the Stealth Jet’s all about.

The entire set includes the translucent black jet base, two wings, a jet pack, two MAX-trix connectors and the pilot figure along with instructions and decal stickers. The silver TRU exclusive foil sticker is on the front.

The Figure

Jet Pilot (translucent)

Similar pilot figure as in the other Jet set. Same helmet, torso cover, pouch and glove pieces just with different colors. His body is a translucent black, almost a smoke colored with gloves, belt, pouches and boots in black. His helmet has a cool looking solid red colored visor.

Underneath the helmet he has some shades this time around. They also included an extra black slicked back hairpiece for when he goes sans helmet. Again good job on the details for his jumpsuit, especially stands out with the translucent base figure.

He does have the same issues with fitting in the jet. This jet also comes with the extra jetpack connector that can strap to his back too. Tons of extras and great base for customizing.

Overall just as good as the other pilots, if not slightly cooler in translucent colors.

Tech Stealth Jet (translucent black)

The vehicle set includes the jet base, two wings, a jet pack, two MAX-trix connectors along with instructions and decal stickers. The instructions are simple to follow and show the multiple configurations you can do with just this set and also with multiple sets. The stickers are decent too and there’s a bunch of little MAX logos for both the figure and jet.

The jets themselves are lots of fun to connect and play. Everything snaps into place easily and comes apart with ease too. Really like the translucent color all over. The cockpit cover is partially painted with a solid red with some grey screen control looking details that are really sharp.

For the pilot fitting in you have the same situation as before, removing the gloves with help you greatly.

In conclusion same plus and minuses as before and simply just a fun set to have.
