The box is the new expanded window box so you can see both characters along with the accessories in the middle. The character names and control art bust shots are below the windows with the Avengers name/logo. The top has a group photo of the four super heroes. The sides have individual control art of each character. On the back are the mini-bios of each character along with group picture of all figures in this wave. The silver “TRU exclusive” foil mark is also on the front.

The master of mischief is back from the unknown parts of space to cause more trouble for our band of heroes. This is the second release of the movie version of Loki in minimate form. He was released in the Thor movie minimate sets.

 

 

Again he has the long horned helmet, this time it’s more streamlined with a bit of hair showing in the back. I was really hoping they would get the extra hairpiece that we’ve seen for him in the concept art from the Thor minimates but sadly no extra hairpiece this time either. I do really like the brighter green and gold colors on Loki for this version. He pretty much has the exact same expression as last time just bushier eyebrows and lighter eyes.

 

 

Loki has a full robe torso cover with great colors and detail. The only drawback is it drastically limits his articulation of his waist and legs. Underneath the torso and waist are black blanks. The arms and legs do have some nice highlighted detail on them. He also has gold bracelets to complete the outfit.

 

 

He comes with his staff given to him in the movie as his accessory. It’s really a nice piece; good colors and lots of designs on it too.

 

While not a perfect version of him, I think with some part swaps with the previous version you could make a definitive version.

Nick Fury

Nick Fury has shown up in small parts in almost all of the Marvel Avengers series movies so far (The Incredible Hulk being the only one he hasn’t been in).  In the Avengers he is finally able to assemble this team of superheroes to battle against Loki and his army invasion. This is the second movie version minimate released too, the last being from the Iron Man 2 Battle Tactics box set.

 

 

Great facial details and love that the eyepatch makes it (almost) all around his head. He has a wonderful trenchcoat that curves around on his right side so he can also access his gun holster. The paint has a shiny black paint app that continues on his arms too. His torso and legs have some details too. Like all of the figures in this wave all the paint apps are well done and stand out on the body.

 

 

Fury comes with same gun holster that Black Widow does along with detailed belt. For accessories he has a black gun and a minimate first: a bazooka!! This set also comes with a clear base stand. For customizers this is great figure to have extras. The weapons and his trenchcoat and holster make for excellent custom fodder.

 

 

In conclusion another good figure to help lead your team of Avengers!
