LokiH01

Here are two popular characters that are on the opposite side of the coin of good and evil. Loki and Heimdall make up this Thor: The Dark World LCS pack. Let’s see if the figures are as cool as the actors on film…

Packaging

LokiH02

The box is the expanded window box so you can see both characters along with the accessories in the middle. The character names and control art bust shots are below the windows. The sides have individual control art of each character. On the back are the mini-bios of each character along with group picture of all figures in this wave.

The Figures

Loki

LokiH03

This guy is always up to trouble even when he’s trying to be good. I find it funny that even though he wasn’t the main villain in Thor: The Dark World, he still managed to steal the show.
LokiH04 LokiH05

No horned helmet this go around but rather his slicked black hairpiece. Part of me was hoping for an attached “speak-no-evil” mask that he had from the end of the Avengers’ movie but wasn’t in the Thor movie so no need to include it here. He has an intense look on his face with those bright piercing eyes.

LokiH06
The paint apps are good all around, especially on his long torso cover cloak. The little touch of green and metallic trim look really nice. Only problem with this full length cloak is it greatly limits any movement for waist and legs. His arms, hands and legs do have some highlight details and he also has nice metallic cuffs (no not those, the regular kind of ornate Asgardian accessory cuffs).
LokiH07

For accessories he comes with a cool looking pair of handcuffs. They’ve also included a clear base stand. He makes for a good figure to mix and match with previous versions (especially that hairpiece). Now we just need someone to make a decent “speak-no-evil” mask or decal then we’d be all set.

Overall he’s a good figure but not the best Loki we’ve seen so far.

Heimdall

LokiH08

The all-seeing, all-watching Heimdall acts as gatekeeper for the rainbow bridge, Bifrost & Asgard.
LokiH09

His sculpted helmet is outstanding; I love the details on it along with the gold paint apps. Another nice touch is his headpiece has facial and hair details all around. So looks just as good with or without the helmet (minus the hole on top).

LokiH10

Like Loki he has a full length torso cover cloak that again somewhat limits articulation, but to his credit the cover is wider so there is more leg room. He has large gold wrist cuffs along with boots. Again the paint apps are well done. The base minimate figure is brown with a few arm and leg highlights.

LokiH11

Heimdall comes with his massive ornate sword. I only wish you could position his arms in such a way that he could easily hold the sword down in front of him with both hands (like how he does at the gate). They’ve also included a clear base stand. Custom-wise he’s a perfect start for a Luther custom (Google the show if you haven’t seen it before).

LokiH12

Another needed Asgardian down, more to go! Next time hopefully Hogun and Fandral; right, right??
