Lockjaw and Betsy are quite a unique pairing for this TRU Wave 7 exclusive. With some good part reuses along with new sculpts, this odd couple makes for an interesting minimate set.

The Figures
Lockjaw
The head is a new sculpted piece for his bulldog head. The detail work is very good; they even have his silver antenna protruding from his forehead. He is a tan color all over with black paint details for his nose, lips and ears; you can even see his teeth in a mild snarl. Underneath the headpiece is a tan blank head.

The torso cover and waist/tail cover are a repaint of the Terror dog covers; they give bulk to the figure and do well with giving it the dog shape. The underneath arms, torso, waist and legs are all the same tan color. The hands and feet are new sculpted dog paws which look very nice.
There are no accessories; none really needed, although I’m sure there are some out there that would like to have an alternate head with Thing’s arm sticking out of his mouth.
MMC Score – 9 out of 10
Betsy Braddock
Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock (later known as Psylocke) is twin sister of Captain Britain. This I’m guessing is her earlier appearance in the comics, honestly can’t say that I know much of her before she showed up as Psylocke in X-Men comics. Nevertheless this would be the third Elizabeth Braddock minimate with another Betsy version coming soon to TRU wave 11.
Nice facial detail with her purple mask all around the head with the exception of her eyes and mouth/chin. The colors show very well and her bright purple eyes and red lips really stand out. She has a purple cape and cowl (a repaint of Moon Knight’s) along with an extra purple hairpiece.
The torso has detail showing off her curves along with her outfit. The purple two different purple colors are also wrapped around to the back. The arms, legs and waist continue with the color pattern but also have nice details on them as well. It’s nice seeing the colors wrap around like on her hips/back and the additional detail lines really take what is a simple figure and makes it stand out.
She has several accessories. Two translucent pink psy-blasts coming out from her hands (attached at the wrists) along with a translucent pink samurai blade.
In conclusion, another well done figure. I honestly couldn’t tell you why these two figures were packed together but this is a highly recommended 2-pack.
