Two superheroes that exemplify strength of body and of mind make up our next Avengers movie minimate 2-pack. So who would win in a battle between these two?

Packaging

The box is the new expanded window box so you can see both characters along with the accessories in the middle. The character names and control art bust shots are below the windows with the Avengers name/logo. The top has a group photo of the four super heroes. The sides have individual control art of each character. On the back are the mini-bios of each character along with group picture of all figures in this wave.

The Figures

Iron Man Mark VII

Heavy boots of lead
fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron Man lives again!

Alright, let me tell you the one thing that I don’t like about this figure (well beside the unexpressive expression that all the Avengers seem to have); it’s his neck. Yep that’s it, it looks scrunched up. The rest of the figure is awesome.

Each Iron Man design gets tweaked for each movie, this one adds some more silver and gold coloring, also that odd neck thing and we’re back to the circle arc reactor (??). This figure comes with not one but two helmets, one regular and one with the flipped up mask. We also get Tony’s hairpiece so you can display him without a helmet.

His torso cover this time around is not so bulky so you can have more waist articulation. And as we’ve seen in previous IM suits the legs and arms have sculpted details to go with the metallic paint job.  Underneath the partial torso cover you can see his arc reactor and metal substructure on the front and back. Very nice details, the lines are very crisp.

The gauntlets look new. And his boots are definitely new with treads on the bottom with a little bit of a heel design.

Unlike the other packs in this wave there is no extra clear base stand. But for Iron Man you do get a yellow flight base.

AA/DST continues to create great minimate versions of Iron Man and this one does not break that tradition.

Hulk

One so-so movie and one decent movie later and now we finally get a definitive version of the Hulk on film. We’ll ignore the duck feet from the last minimate movie version of Hulk and move on to the bigger and better things.

Finally somebody with some expression on his face! Luckily Hulk comes with two heads. One has a confused look and the other has a great angry expression. Once again the details are clear and crisp. Hulk has a good ruffled looking hairpiece too.

The rest of his body is done in the large bulked size that we’ve seen in other recent Hulk releases. There are lots of muscle details on the front along with more on his back, shoulders and even his hands. The shoulder covers have been improved by wrapping all around the arm instead of the open slits seen previously. Hulk has new hands too with actual fingers! The waist cover has the built in torso riser and sits on the open peg that allows better leg movement for the larger legs. I also like the slightly purple torn shorts. And as a base you have the massive feet.

No accessories but none really needed. I could see people wanting to get extras of this figure to customize other large size characters.

Best Hulk released to date, period!
