The packaging, like other Minimate sets, is very cool, with the Daredevil logo along the side of the card. The figures are packed in a bubble tray, and have twist-ties holding them in, as well as clear elastic bands holding their arms to their sides.

Overall, the look is very clear, with Daredevil’s yellow and Elektra’s red contrasting nicely with the black and light blue of the card.

This is the second Daredevil Minimate figure, featuring Daredevil in his first costume, a garish yellow and black number. The Daredevil figure in red is reviewed in depth here. This yellow Daredevil is essentially a repaint of the first figure; it has the same sculpt and accessories but has a more complex paint job. The paint is excellent, with no smudging or breaking up. Visually this has a lot more going on than red Daredevil.

As with the first Daredevil, this one comes with 2 billy clubs, sadly again they are not linked together. Matt Murdock’s mask is removable, and does look very sinister with those red eyes contrasting against the yellow of the mask.

Yellow Daredevil has full use of the 14 points of articulation at his disposal.

Overall, Yellow Daredevil is identical to the red Daredevil figure but has enough of a different costume to be worth getting. It’s purely a matter of taste on whether the red Daredevil costume is better than the yellow one, and for me, the red costume is the definitive costume and therefore that figure wins out, gaining higher marks than this repaint.

The second figure in the set is Elektra, Daredevil’s sometime love interest and an assassin for hire. Here she is wearing her red outfit, there is also a chase figure of her in a black outfit.

Elektra has a brilliantly detailed face, with very expressive eyes and full lips. Her hair and hat are one piece which can be removed from her head. The hair cascading down her back looks great but does hinder her neck movement, as she cannot look left or right very easily.

The paint application here isn’t as good. Her upper body is fine, with nice touches such as having one gloved hand, which works really well visually, but the red banding around her legs is a bit blotchy and the lines are uneven, which detracts slightly from the look of the figure.

For accessories, Elektra comes with her twin Sai’s, which look great and give Elektra a nice asskicking feel. She also has a skirt, which again can get in the way of some poses.

Overall, the Elektra figure is very good, her slightly hindered posability and uneven paint apps are countered by the expression on her face and the fact she has 2 handheld weapons to use.
