Here we have another set from the Tomb Raider series. This set is in both the TRU wave 1 and regular LCS wave 1. Does the quality stand up to the previous pack, let’s find out…
The packaging is the blister card pack showcasing the figures and accessories. The pack has an insert with the Tomb Raider logo with headshots of the two characters. The back shows all the character pairs in this wave along with a short bio for the figures included.
Battle Damaged Lara Croft
Last time we had the regular version of Lara
. This go around the series heroine is battle damaged and comes with a new set of extras.
The hairpiece is the same as before with bits of mud splattered in her brown strands of hair. She has a more determined and weathered look on her face. Her outfit is the same as before with added damage. Battle damaged figures work best when there’s a reason to it. In the game Lara is marooned, captured, injured and gets dirty. This figure displays those trials very well. Check out the gunshot wound on the side of her stomach that shows front and back. There’s also mud on arms, boots and torso. You can see strips of cloth wrapped around multiple injuries on her legs and arm. Overall very well done.
She has two added clothing articles with this outfit. One is a strap around her torso with a peg in the back. That peg can hold either the rifle or shotgun included as an accessory. She also has a gun holster belt to hold her silver handgun. Included is a red climbing axe and a clear base stand. With this figure and the regular version you can swap pieces easily since all the colors match perfectly to give her varying degrees of battle damage.
In conclusion another solid figure.

Armored Tomb Raider Scavenger
Right off the bat, I love the utilitarian/steam punk look of the grunts from this series. The scavengers stand in Lara’s way to rescuing her friend Samantha.
His mask is awesome; I really like dirty translucent orange plastic for the eyes. Underneath is the scavenger’s yellowish face with bandage wrapped head.
He has a bulky vest with high collar. I like the added detail for the metallic plates and belt pouches. Underneath there is detail on his brown button shirt (honestly I’m not sure what that is, vest, sweater; doesn’t he get hot in all that gear?). His arms and legs are a dingy yellow mustard color. For added bulk he has plated gauntlets, brown thigh covers and big boots.
For an accessory he comes with a rifle and huge incredibly cool shield. The shield looks like something torn from a cargo plane door; there’s sculpted roped around the middle and a handle on the back. Also for balance he comes a clear base stand (you’ll need it if he holds that shield). He’s also a very good figure for custom fodder since he has so many pieces that could be used for creating other characters.
All those added extras makes this a very good figure.
