New waves keep wandering out for The Walking Dead line which is a very good thing. Who’s ready for the TV season to start back up this weekend? I know I am!
Up for review this time we have a set from the fourth TRU wave. It’s worth noting that Michonne is also in LCS wave 4 but with Gabe rather than a zombie.
The packaging is the blister card pack showcasing the figures and accessories. The pack has an insert with The Walking Dead logo. The back shows a group shot of all the figures in this series along with a short bio of each of the two characters included.
I have to say, we kinda expected
to see this version of her somewhere down the road. It’s sorta like having Wolverine in his first appearance
outfit, it was bound to happen.
Michonne is very similar to the previous versions of her that have been released. Obviously the big difference is she comes with her large grey hood. The hood cover is an incredibly well done piece, there’s tons of texture and detail in the hood. It even has her hair/hairband peeking out up top. They’ve included a spare hairpiece (same one used before) for the non-hooded look. She has a slightly varied angry expression on her face but then again none of the figures so far have had their happy face yet (zombie apocalypse so kinda goes with territory).
Underneath she’s showing more skin than previous figures; instead of a long-sleeve shirt her bare arms are showing. Good amount of torso detail and she also has the same skirt as before however more chrome detail on her belt. Her legs and hands are the same as before.
For accessories she comes with her trusty sword and both figures come with a clear base stand. The hood is an awesome piece for customs.
This is my favorite version of her released to date.

Not all zombies are walkers. Sometimes you have to crawl before you can walk.
He has a slicked back black hairpiece; this piece has popped up on other figures before. I love the details on the zombie’s faces; you really get the sense of the skin decaying away and hanging from their bones. The torso also has more decayed details all around. I also like the added scuff marks on the back of his wrists, right where they would be if he was crawling around and using his hands for movement.
To pull off the crawling title they’ve created a new sculpted piece of his entrails that attached where the waist would usually attach. The entrails are sloped in a way you can lean the figure and prop him up by his arms. They’ve also included a spare set of scuffed up zombie waist/legs/feet for good measure.
Like all the figures he comes with a clear base stand. The entrails accessory is definitely a favorite new addition, perfect for swapping with any other figure desired.
He may not have a leg up on his fellow zombies but he stands tall in ratings.
